About the Book

Everyone has a story. In Hope, author Edith Hedden tells some of those stories. In this collection of narratives, everyday people faced with extraordinary challenges relate their experiences that inspire, bring hope, and renew faith in the resilience of the human spirit.

Filled with messages of encouragement despite all odds, Hope shares the accounts of a: young doctor with an overwhelming struggle with Parkinson’s disease at the peak of his career; martial artist training for the world championship who is derailed by a serious car accident; paramedic/EMT with a major city fire department who experienced an abusive home environment and suffered personal loss; determined family who perseveres to learn why their twelve-year-old daughter doesn’t feel well; and superhero and his young family facing a stage-four cancer diagnosis.

Based on Hedden’s personal story and the stories of others, this self-improvement book serves as inspiration to help others overcome the challenges they may face in their lives.

Reviews

I highly recommend this book for anyone who has experienced lose or anyone who is curious to learn about lose. Hedden is open and honest with her readers. She does not embellish pain and suffering. She finds small pockets of hope in life’s most challenging situations while still maintaining a down-to-earth perspective.

This book is one of hope amidst the crisis that finds each of our lives at some time. To endure, learn, and move forward is our own decision, our own choice. There is always a rainbow somewhere--always. NEVER EVER GIVE UP.

Perfect title for this book!

Beautiful Book!

What I got from this book is that hope takes on many forms. Sometimes it’s in the touch of a hand, a hug from a teacher, or the confidence found in tai chi class. Edith has found the key that unlocks the power of hope. These inspiring stories underscore the human desire to persevere, to overcome, and to heal.

Short and inspiring stories of people who have faced life's challenges with grace and dignity. Their stories of courage, endurance, and faith are humbling. This book is beautifully written and a reminder that we all have guardian angels watching over us.
